Knowshon Moreno Denver Broncos Football Camp

 

Knowshon Moreno played high school football at Middletown High School South in Belford, NJ.  While at Middletown, Moreno rushed for 6,268 yards and 128 touchdowns. Moreno helped Middletown win 3 Central Jersey Group 3 Championships before he signed his Letter of Intent with the University of Georgia.

During his freshman season at Georgia, Moreno was the first player since Herschel Walker to rush for more than 100 yards in 5 consecutive games. Moreno finished his freshman year with 1,334 yards on 248 carries for 14 touchdowns and was named SEC freshman player of the year.

In his sophomore season, Moreno rushed for 1400 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He was named the University of Georgia's offensive MVP. He was also named a First Team All-SEC Player for the second year in a row and finished as a 2nd Team All-American.  On January 7, 2009, Moreno declared for the 2009 NFL Draft, where he was chosen in the first round with the 12th overall pick.

As a rookie for the Denver Broncos, Moreno rushed for 947 yards and had 7 touchdowns.  He established himself as one of Denver's best young players.
